Louise Hill:This design is a playful representation of the iconic Hong Kong skyline and the famous Star Ferry. I created the image using photos that I took in and around the ‘Fragrant Harbour’ like the old-fashioned junk boat and high-rise apartment buildings, which so many people think of when they remember HK. Alongside my own illustration, I also added some vintage graphics of birds and fish to represent the raw mix of HK architecture and wildlife that coexist in this busy bustling city. The planes in the pictured design are loosely based on the ‘Dragon Air’ colours. For any Cathay Pacific families, I also have a version with ‘Cathay style’ planes on it. Construction:Printed onto cotton canvas in durable high quality Giclee Inks. Artwork is hand stretched onto a wooden frame which is one and a half inches thick with a white border.
